The Atlanta Cagers, a non-profit girls travel basketball program, has been metro Atlanta's best-keep secret for many years and exists to help local girls who wish to learn, develop and surround themselves with other girls who love the game of basketball.
The Atlanta Cagers were founded in 2009 by Ralph Smith whose 3rd grade team won the AAU national championship. With Ralph's leadership, the Atlanta Cagers expanded from one team to several locations stretching across metro Atlanta from Rome to Athens GA.
After retiring in 2014, Ralph passed the baton to Rodney Storms who established the BlueChip teams for players seeking to play in NCAA exposure events. Coach Storms has played a key role in helping a number of players reach their goal of playing basketball at the collegiate level with recognition by numerous college coaches and recruiting organizations such as BlueStar Media, All Star Girls Report / ASGR and Brandon Clay Scouting / BCS).
